![]() ![]() It is a major design flaw for a product that is aimed at households with pets that shed. Their customer service team is wonderful, and these issues are not their fault. It's the design of these vacuums that seems flawed, as I said this is the second one they sent me with the exact same issue. Who has time for that? I honestly have so much anxiety every time I use it because I'm afraid the belt compartment will get too full/snap off and cause that burning smell. In my opinion, a vacuum of this price point, and from a reputable brand, should not have to be taken a part after l every use. Hair literally gets clogged in the belt compartment only and gets compacted into clumps to the point where it causes the burning smell. The suction is great, but I have to unscrew the bottom and clean the belt compartment at every use, otherwise it'll get that horrible burning smell. I have a golden retriever who does shed a fair amount, but that's why I bought this model, designed for pet households. It comes with specialized pet tools that make the switch from. I use this vacuum for upstairs only, once every few weeks. Its lightweight and engineered with swivel steering, so its easy to maneuver around your home. They had to send me a second vacuum only for it to have the same problem. This would be a great vacuum, but belt problems This would be a great vacuum, but the design of the belt/belt compartment is terrible. I like that it has a retractable cord, large dirt container, that it can be used as a hand-held with. Accessories do not clip on the vacuum well Easy to empty and clean I was not aware of this product prior to this program. I like the green pet one, it's good for couch. For my hardwoods it is ineffective on the carpet setting, must be on 1 of the bottom 3 Lots of tools, some are great some are dumb. I use that brush a lot so it is very annoying Positives- Suction it is very strong and has different carpet levels. Adapter is a pain and doesn't stay on good. ![]() Suction hose- it is wound very tight so when I vacuum things like my stairs, it doesn't stretch much, ends up pulling vacuum along behind you Accessories - I have some accessories I like to use (horsehair brush) but had to buy an adapter. Things I don't like: Heavy- my arm often gets tired after 20 min of pushing it around. It is very strong and has good suction but is cumbersome to use. I have mostly hardwoods with 2-3 small rugs, 3 dogs. That said, you can gently tap on it to dislodge any stuck-on dust or dirt.Ok but heavy I got this vacuum off a recommendation and did research. Other than the fact that it can't be washed under water, no other maintenance instructions are given. You can only access to it once you've removed the dirt compartment, and you just need to twist it to take it out. Post-motor filter: This filter can't be washed. They should also be washed periodically with warm water and mild detergent before being left to dry for at least 24 hours. Pre-motor filters: There are two filters, one carbon and one foam, found on the top of the dirt compartment, both of which can simply be pulled free.No specific maintenance interval is given, but you should clean the roller as needed since it tends to collect a lot of long hair. You can also remove the brushroll belt if you want to check if this part has been damaged or stretched, and you can pull or cut out hair tangled around the brush. Brushroll: The brushroll is a bit of a hassle to take out, as you first have to remove six Phillips screws and the brushroll plate. You can wash the cyclone cylinder with warm water plus a mild detergent, but you need to let it dry for 24 hours before using it again. It opens from the bottom so you can empty dirt or the cyclone cylinder. Dirt compartment: The dirt compartment is easily removable. This vacuum has quite a few parts that need to be cleaned periodically. Lowered 'Cracks' score to maintain consistency with similarly-performing vacuums. The test results for the 'Maximum Suction' and 'Normal Suction' fields have been updated. This vacuum's suction force has been retested with a more accurate manometer.
